Regional Honor Band Results

Congratulations!
"Congratulations!! The
Desert Vista Band program has had four individuals selected for the Music For
All - 'Honor
Band of America'. They are Kate Gallagher (piccolo), Bomi Johnson
(flute), Andy Tran (saxophone), Kaitlin Dickson (horn). They submitted
recordings of selected etudes online and were selected from hundreds of
applicants from across the country. This is in conjunction with the
National Festival (Indianapolis, IN) that the Wind Ensemble and Advanced
Percussion will be participating in during Spring Break - March, 2012." -

The Donate button will provide you with the ability to make a one-time donation
of $100 to the Band Boosters
2) The Subscribe button will provide the
ability to make four (4) monthly donations of $25 each.
Here is
another simple way to earn money for the Band! Please print out the barcode
below, and the next time you shop at Fry's, ask them to link this to your Fry's
VIP Card. You can do it right at the register. Then every time you shop between
now and April 21, 2012 and use your VIP card, your purchases will accrue toward
rebates for the Band. For every $50,000 in purchases, Fry's will send the band
$500!
Music for All National
Concert Band & Percussion Festival
Congratulations!
The 2011-2012 DV Wind Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble have been selected to the
prestigious Music for All National Concert Band & Percussion Festival in
Indianapolis, IN. The groups were selected by CD audition from a pool of
applicants from across the nation. This is a true honor for these students
as this is considered to be the premier concert band festival in the country.
These two groups will participate during Spring Break, March 15-17. See
below for their acceptance letters. The program would like to specifically
thank the graduating Senior class of 2011 for their efforts in the application
CD. - Josh Thye
Trampolines
We
are still looking for families who may be interested in sponsoring a trampoline. As a
sponsor you would be eligible to be entered into a draw to win one of the
trampolines at the end of the season to keep. All of the trampolines will be
signed by the members of the 2011-2012 Marching Band and would be a great
reminder of the show as well as great fun to use. If you would be interested in
sponsoring a trampoline and being entered into the draw we are asking for a
donation of $50. Please send your name and telephone number on a index card
(mark it "Trampoline Sponsor") and your payment (checks should be made
payable to DVBB) to the Band Booster mail box at 3145 E Chandler Blvd, Suite
110, Box 606, Phoenix, AZ, 85048 by July 1st.
